    Hold down the space key while holding the swing bar. Release the space key within a second. In this way, the character jumps further.
    The controls will be updated. Wall run, swing bar controls will be better. Stay tuned.

    When i run up the ramp, do i press to jump, let go, and press hold space again? or do you keep holding jump as i leap off the ramp, and let go within a second, regardless of when i grab the bar?

    tried again and still cant make it past here

    Hey meka! I was wondering 3 things- Is there a way to smooth out the controls, straighter wallrunning, and is there a way to automatically generate climbing points on surfaces? Thanks!

    Sadly, there is no "auto generate points" thing.

    Is it possible you can make a hight sensor thing?
    like if its below waist you can vault it and if its higher you pull up

    Hi, someone was already asking regarding a Third Person integration. Is the only factor not to try it, the strange looking animations? I would like to implement my own animations anyway. So could I use this as a Third Person controller or should I rather wait until you`ve finished the TP system?

    Not just animations, it's not suitable for TPS in general.
    The new update for TPS asset will not fix this.

    How can I extend how far my character can latch onto parkour objects from? Such as grabbing a ledge from further away. Is there a way to make the zone that I must be within more forgiving for the player?

    Hi I have a problem during crouch the character's foot sinks into the floor. Also wall running doesn't seem to be activating in my level. Thxx

    Try to change the Position of the "Body Position" game object under Animated Body.
    Wall run may not work on inclined objects. Can you post a photo of your level?

    The level is modeled in Probuilder and it's a single mesh. I'm pretty sure the walls are 90 degree exactly with no incline. Also no anti wall run

    Also the thing is during other animations such as idle, running, etc the foot are correctly placed. Only during the crouch does it sink to the floor.

    Is there a way to increase sensitivity for wall run? It's not seemed to be picking up even if walls are perfect.

    I tested it in several ways. I think it's much better this way.

    I think the problem isn't with the trigger. I recorded the inspection state and it keeps going back after a short-timer delay. The trigger event is being triggered tho, I'm not sure why it's not proceeding to the later states.

    If you touched the wall before jumping, It won't trigger the wall running.
    Yeah it is weird. But that's how it is now. I'm gonna update the wall running system soon.

    Is there a quick state I can change to make it work? I tried jumping then touching wall but then the player just slows down drastically so it doesn't work as well.

    Open "Jump and Crouch" FSM
    Go to "Check Fall Distance" State
    Change this transition to whatever you want, If you want hard landing rather than death, select Hard Landing. If you want soft landing select "Soft Landing"

    Hi Meka_Games!
    Love the plugin. I followed the document but I've ran into a problem. I can't seem to climb over the tutorial barrier thing while holding space. I've tried moving forward while hanging and not but I can't seem to get it. I'm near certain there's some easy thing I'm missing. I'll try to get it before you read this, but if not I'd love for a little point in the right direction. I'm a level designer so I'm not that adept at scripting and whatnot.
    Again, amazing work and would love some help if you could!

    Swing bar is a bit difficult. I will fix this in the next update. You have to hold down the spacebar while hanging on the Swing Bar, when you come to the end of the swing, when you release the spacebar, the character jumps forward. If you do not release the spacebar in time, the character will fall to the ground.

    I can't wait to see the next update. The problem I seem to be having in the scene "DemoSpeedRun" I can't hold space to climb. I hold down space and nothing seems to happen. Should I be pressing anything other than space to climb over? Otherwise, everything is working swimmingly!

    Hello

    I have a question about wall running (FSM) in First-Person Parkour System v2.0.
    I want to reproduce a feature like wall runnig in titanfall 2.

    You can see the image of wall runnig from 28:37 in the video.


    During the wall runnig, it descends little by little.
    How can I prevent it from descending during a wall runnig?

    Installation Instructions say
    ----
    1- Install the highest Playmaker version first.
    2- Setup tags and layers. (must done)


    3- Setup Physics Layer Collision Matrix
    Player / Raycast Point = false
    Player / Player = false
    ---

    What tags and layers need to be in setup? it is just blank in the instructions.
    I am guessing "Player" & "Raycast Point" layer at a minimum.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to make it so that strafing while running does not kill your speed? Also what are the parameters for the automatic sliding to occur? I can't seem to slide at all no matter how steep or shallow an incline I make.

    Is this asset dead or will there be an update to it? Seems like the first bar is near impossible to do - I've only gotten through it a handful of times out of the dozens of times I tried? @Meka_Games Please help!

    Also, will you be adding joystick support? That would really help. Even a option for ReWired would make this asset solid.

    Hey Meka_Games, I know that you said that you are releasing an update for this asset. I understand that it can take some time to release it and that you are one person + releasing additional assets, but it's been quite some time since the last update.

    I really love this asset and it has a lot of potential, but I couldn't help but notice there were quite a few issues when I first purchased it (Feb, 2022) that would require some deep adjustments by myself, so I set it aside until it was updated. From what I can see, it hasn't been updated since Feb, 2021. You also seem to have last mentioned an update coming in April of 2022 (aside from this past week).

    What I'm trying to ask is there any timeline or estimate on when this update will be released? Maybe a roadmap of sorts for when to expect something like another update? And maybe what that update might entail?

    I appreciate the work you put into this asset, as it's probably the best first person parkour system on the asset store right now and I really want to get it to work properly. I'll give it another shot as soon as this new update comes out, as I've put off a specific game project for a while now that I want to use this asset for.

    Thank you.

    Also, just as a suggestion, maybe we could get a discord server for any questions we might have? And we could help each other out within the community whenever we have an issue.

    I fixed the Wall Running.

    During Wall Running, the character now automatically looks in the direction he is going. In the past, wall running would be canceled with a wrong mouse movement. This problem is now gone. Controls are easier now.

    Also,
    -Added Sliding Jump
    -Added Sound Effects
    -Fixed Swing Bar
    -Increased Speed
    -Improved Mechanics
    -Changed Ladder Anim

    I'll update the package today.

    Awesome, that's understandable. I'm looking forward to the Discord server at some point.

    Thank you for your work! The demos already play a lot better and I have a much deeper understanding of programming, so I can start prototyping with your asset. I greatly appreciate it, really.
