    Hi all,

I'm really enjoying learning unity atm, but during my experimentations I've imported a load of assets into my project to play with. I was wondering, when I produce my output, does unity strip out all unused assets? So the only downside is the actual project size and won't affect the resulting binaries at all?

Also, is there a way to find all unused assets in a project?

    Thanks for looking

They will be stripped from the final export. This is not true for the resource folder, which is included by default.

Never heard of a function to find unused assets, but that might just be me.

Yes, although I think it's the other way around. The only assets included are those put into scenes, and only those scenes that have been put into the build.

I don't think so, at least not easily.

If you are worried about losing things you thought you had, look into asset bundles and the resources folder.

Check asset store - several packages available recently do just this.

Keep in mind that all the assets from the resources folder and streamingassets folder are always included.
