(Untitled) First Person Survival Horror -

    I know what you're probaly thinking reading this right thread right now.... (Ughh.. another poorly produced slender rip-off, that was spit out in like 10 minutes by a 10 year old kid).

    But rest Assured.. I will bringing a demo in no time as well as more better screenshots of the progess of my game. I am well experianced with unity and Iam well of aware of my capapbillities and limitations asfar as the production of the game , so I wont be feeding the community false plans of what the game may become..

    For the time being I am focusing on the graphical aspect of the game .. I would appreciate if someone could help me with 3d assests as I am more of a programmer.

    At the moment the game has NO story and no direction, only a few ideas as far as gameplay..
    It will have some characteristics of the popular games Amnesia/Penumbra and the ambience of Silent Hill.


    Feedback and ideas are desperatly needed!

    I'm going to be honest with you. The screen shots look interesting, but all that's really going on with them is some post-process effects and flat surfaces. If you want to stay ahead of all the people who you are trying desperately not to copy, you need a direction to your game and something fresh, if not original. I'm rooting for you, good luck.

    I agree with LightSource. Your screenshots are so muddled by post processing that I can't even tell whats going on.


    Also, I think its a mistake to focus just on "graphics" without having any story or direction. The games you mentioned, Amnesia, Silent Hill etc, focus very heavily on atmosphere...how do you plan to build your own interesting atmosphere if you don't even know what your making? Just focusing on art right now with no story/direction in mind just means that everything your building right now is incredibly generic and doesn't help to sell the story or atmosphere of your game.

    I'd say take a step back and figure out what you want to do before you do it.

    As gsokol said, graphics comes later. Worry about the world, the design, and how it will affect the player's playtime. I'd actually suggest to not use any fancy graphics UNTIL you get the game ready.

    Do you have a story or anything? I'm a pretty good writer, so I can help you with that if needed. Cheerio!
