So the power went off in my house yesterday while I was working and as a result I cannot open a particular scene in my game. It says over and over:

Unknown error occurred while loading 'library/metadata/4c/4c8726ba852776848a1deab3f686428d'.
    UnityEngine.GUIUtility:processEvent(Int32, IntPtr)

Can I just delete the library folder and it will recreate it? or the metadata folder? or anything?

    Please help.

    Thanks

Yes. It could take a while though depending on the size of your project.

From memory it did. Have a back-up just in case.

Just try right-click on the sceen file in the project window, and then choose the Reimport menu. It fixed the problem for me.
