UnityWebRequest and proxies

    Hi - just after a bit of clarification on the workings of UnityWebRequest. Our app uses RESTful web services and some of our users can be behind a proxy (e.g. Squid) which require username/password entry. Up until now we've been using 3rd party libraries to allow entry of those credentials in the app.

    Could someone explain in layman's terms how the new network API works behind such a setup? I'm pretty inexperienced in this area and was quite surprised to see that my test mac standalone app was able to communicate with our servers without entering any credentials. Furthermore I've noticed that the communications between app and server are no longer visible in the Charles Web Debugging proxy. Not expecting someone to teach me the fundamentals here, it's just that I don't even know the terminology well enough to know what to search..

    ..and hey, if it means everything's just bypassed then that saves me a lot of coding, so I'm all for that lol
