UnitySetup-iOS-Support-for-Editor-2018.1.0b9.pkg mac ios module installation failure

It appears there might be a problem with the latest ios installation for 2018.1.0b9. I have tried downloading and installing the package multiple times on my macbook pro (2013) without avail. Here is a screenshot




My unity installation on my mac currently uses the unity hub with 2018.1.0b9.

 

Whelp it looks like its effecting other installations as well. UnitySetup-iOS-Support-for-Editor-2017.3.1f1.pkg does not install correctly either

 

I have the same issues. Did you resolve this? I have multiple Unity installations on the same machine, if thats a problem?

 

I tried 2 different MacBooks and it’s the same issue. Anyone?

Same problem here:
UnitySetup-iOS-Support-for-Editor-2018.2.0b1.pkg
Fails to install on macOS 10.13.1
Any ideas?

 

Having to try Android as an alternative until this is solved...

 

I just tried installing UnitySetup-Android-Support-for-Editor-2018.2.0b1
But it failed also. =(
Next, I'll try to fall back to unity official release 2018.1.6f1

Still getting this error on 2018.2.15f1. Anyone have any ideas?

I will try the LTS version and see how that goes.

 

because they F***ed up the installation path! I solved it once and am now struggling again!

 

This is how you solve it:
open /Applications/Unity/Hub/Editor/2018.3.0b9 (or what ever version you have)
move Unity.app to /Applications/Unity/.
run UnitySetup-WHATEVERPACKAGE-for-Editor
> this should succeed!

move Unity.app back to the original folder.
move PlaybackEngines folder to the same original folder folder as well.

Wow... it's unbelievable that this is an error. It is STILL an error TODAY. Thanks to Kobald-Klaus for the answer.

There is NO WAY that someone tested this. It would NEVER work because the pathing is entirely wrong.
