Hi Unity devs and PMs -- as always, myself and so many others at our shop respect and appreciate all the gorgeous life and features y'all are breathing into Unity. That said...

Is it accurate to say that in 2022.2 (and further), there is still no plans for a .unityignore-like feature?

There's discussion of it elsewhere (link below), but the TLDR version is that a LOT of projects would benefit from a teeny feature that I suspect would require very little effort over there (not even any UI work).

Is there anything we can do or say to support this getting added -- even unofficially? I like telling my Unreal dev friends about all the awesome things I like about Unity, but this issue honestly leaves myself and others feeling frustrated and that we're not using a mature software product. Unity PMs, can we please put the one person needed on this for the week or two needed and put this behind us!?
