Unity5 discount - Will we be told in advance when it will end?

The discount for Unity5 ends when it's released, after which those of us upgrading will have to pay full price?

However, will be given advanced warning when this will happen? Unity won't give any release date, and if I remember from Unity4, the new version was released without prior warning and the discount ceased without warning too.

I have 3 licenses to upgrade, but am holding off due to a shortfall in finances. Accepting a release date is still not known, it would be nice to have some prior warning from Unity to when the discounted upgrade window ends, even if just 7 days notice, else risk leaving some of us high and dry.

Or will those of us upgrading from 4 to 5 (instead of buying a new license) always have the option to pay the reduced amount?
