Hey all I was wondering if there is any major difference in the way Facebook and Unity collect data.

For example with my first game, Facebook is saying around 21 daily players but Unity is saying around 12, really not sure which is the most reliable right now, I do have standalone versions available for the game which Facebook won't be able to track analytics for but what's most confusing is Facebook is giving lower monthly players than Unity but higher daily players than Unity, even if some players were using standalone versions (which could account for Unity showing higher monthly players) Unity should show higher daily players than Facebook shows right?

Any ideas on what's going on and which is really the most reliable for a primarily WebGL game?

    Hey @UsernameZero,

What version of Unity are you using to create your WebGL builds? We had a bug which caused WebGL builds to not reliably send all the Analytics events so things like daily players vs monthly players could get kind of skewed with WebGL builds built in Unity 5.3. A bug fix for this issue went out in 5.3.3p3 and I am not entirely sure if it has been back ported to any of the previous versions though. http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/webgl-not-sending-analytics-data.388254/#post-2550025

Oh I see! I had no idea about this bug, I was using 5.3 to build all platforms, since we use Unity Cloud Build I will start building WebGL with a beta version and hope that fixes it! Thanks so much for the help (nice profile picture btw haha :D)
