    Hello!

    I would like to ask if Unity 5.0.1f1 is newer or Unity 5 .0.0p3.

    I am asking because I would think that 5.0.1f1 is newer, but when I click "Check for updates" in my 5.0.0p3 Unity, it tells me that the editor is up to date.

    Yes, it is newer.

    We intentionally delay the editor update incase there are any major issues we missed in a release.

    Releases are done in numerical order, 5.0.1 being greater than 5.0.0. Patches are not mandatory installations and are only required if it fixes a shipstopper for you.
