I've faced an uncomfortable bug in Unity 5.1.1f1 (already filled a bug report, Case 705649): Unity can't find TKDiff installed in my computer (I have the latest v4.2), so it does not enable file merging. I've double-checked and I do have TKDiff installed, so I don't know what is this all about.

Also, the 'Version Control' option in the Window dropdown menu is disabled (so it is related to the merging issue, I presume).

I can repro the issue you are having and will fix it.

This is unrelated. It is only enabled if you enable a version control system using "Edit -> ProjectSettings -> Editor". Not intuitive I know... should be changed.

Thanks for such a quick answer. Will this come in v5.1.2, then? Or will there be a v5.1.1p1?

(And yeah, enabling the Version Control menu is super unintuitive...).

I did the fix and will let you know the version when it has been merged upstream.

Any thoughts on how to go about fixing this in Debian Linux?
