Unity UI is flickering bright white when switching tabs

    Anyone else having this issue?

    When I switch between the "Scene" and "Game" tabs there's a large flash of bright white across the Unity UI. It's very quick but extremely jarring.

    Unity 2018.3.0f2 on OSX Mojave 10.14.3
    (also happens on 2018.3.9f1)
    (also happens on 2019.1.0b6)

    Update:

    Seems to be caused by having Player Settings -> Other Settings -> Metal Editor Support turned off, turning it on fixes it.

    Turning it off in a sample project caused black flashing instead of white, I don't know why that would be.
