Unity to github - LightingData.asset

Hi, hoping someone could help me out with this. I am trying to send some old projects to github, but I am having an issue pushing on part - LightingData.asset I have LightingData.asset.meta on github, that uploaded to it fine. But my question is, if I dont get LightingData.asset uploaded to git will that cause an issue if I have to redownload it at a later date, or can the LightingData be built off of the LightingData.asset.meta?
