Unity terrain trees

    Hi
    Where do the trees on terrain impact performance or resources use. For instance the trees don't show up as objects in the profiler and they don't show up for batching on the onscreen fps display so what are they?
    Use case.
    If i am able to handle 100k objects in a scene and i put 70k terrain trees in the scene will it effect how many objects i can stlll handle will I still be able to place 100k or will it be closer to 30k objects etc?
