Unity Technologies and Noesis Interactive Announce New Service as Academic Institutions Standardize on Unity
24/7 Unity Training Now Available for $19.95 per month

Noesis Interactive is a partner of Unity Tech's that not only acts as a reseller but they're creating a wide range of learning material as well. They've already had courseware for instructors on sale and today they're launching a new effort targeted at developers themselves. The site, http://www.design3.net/unity, offers Unity-focused learning material that is well worth a look. If you're interested then give the full press release a look:

    http://unity3d.com/company/news/noesis-design3-press.html

Then go to design3.com and check things out for yourself (they have a free trial membership available):

    http://www.design3.net/unity

They have folks here on the forums so post up if you have any questions!

The website appears to be blocked or broken. Any idea what is going on?

Actually promotion codes are only used for educational and corporate discounts.

However, the first couple chapters of our tutorials are available for public viewing if you wish to take a look at some of our content.

If you fall into one of those categories for a discount code contact sales@noesisinteractive.com

I remember Noesis from my Source modding days. They are a really excellent, high quality ...source.. for training material. When trying to wade through the scraps of information here and there - some outdated, some conflicting - Noesis had a straight forward step-through of the Character-To-Game Engine pipeline.

Does Neosis offer hands on remote tutoring or only pre-canned tutorials ?

Will Noesis implement any Paypal version in the near future?

Honestly, i am really interested in the tutorials available, but i'm not too confident to leave my credit card details on a semi-broken website :)

Paypal is already available. I joined 2 days ago using my PayPal account. BTW, I have just started watching the tutorials and thus far, I have to say that they are really good!

Our early issues were actually due to too much security. We have since worked out the kinks and all of our payment methods (including paypal) are certified secure. I hope that the few hiccups, that accompany the launch of any website, do not deter you. If you do encounter any problems please e-mail support@design3.net

What is different about our materials as opposed to youtube is that all of our material is outcome based and track oriented. That is the lessons build on each other. Our material was professionally developed, and we are the worldwide academic providers for Unity. We even have specifically academically catered courses that can be suited for a 10-15 week term. The beginning chapters of the tutorials are available for public viewing. Feel free to get on there and check it out.

Recommend you do a sweep of the website for pricing issues. I found this one on the landing page:

"For as low as $14.99 you can have unlimited, 24/7 access to hundreds of streaming, HD quality, video-based tutorials, and interact with game developers worldwide."

There is no $14.99 price point available... at least not that I can find :)

For the annual subscription of $179.95 the price breakdown would be $14.99 per month. There is also a student four-month term subscription for $59.95.

However, we acknowledge that the language is a bit confusing and it has been changed.

When I signed up for the free trial I had access to the intro stuff of the chapters but not everything. This makes sense, however, as 30 days is a long time and someone could realistically listen to all of the materials in 30 days.

I've been using it for the last couple of days (watched 20 lessons so far), and it has much better resolution than the stuff I have seen on YouTube. I can read everything on the screen, which is usually not the case with others.
I found the presentation stimulating and easy to follow.
    Recommended.

I signed up maily to learn more about the networking side of Unity but they only had 1 chapter on that.
And not even about authorotive setup.
    I cancelled it now.

But the videos are great quality and well explained.

    Eddy.

Keep an eye on their site as I know they're gearing up for the Unity 3.0 launch and are fully intent on expanding the range of material they have to offer. I'm sorry it wasn't a match for you right away but at least the quality of the material was apparent, even if it wasn't 100% on track with your wants/needs. :)

Definitely high quality video and the quality of the presentation of the things Noesis has done is exceptional. I wish there was a way to download the materials so that when I'm travelling I wouldn't need an Internet connection to use them.

We appreciate your comments about the quality of the tutorials.

Our streaming model, like Tom mentioned, allows us to set a much more aggressive schedule for new content and also makes it easier for us to address the desires of the design3 community. Feel free to post your wishes both on here and the design3 forums as they will not go unnoticed. You can view our roadmap of upcoming material and site functions here- http://www.design3.net/ref/d32-2ad628f0.html

As for downloads, another part of our streaming model is that it allows us to ensure that all our material is as up to date as possible. As we now house all of our material we can ensure that.

Dude that was totally uncool to say that. I have gone trough all the tutorials the free ones and these one. There are something valuable to learn in any one of them. And may i say that 20$ to access high quality learning content is definately not a ripoff. You are free to learn from free tutorials but pointlessly bashing someones hard work is not acceptable.

Database error on all sites related to this and Noesis interactive.
I was going to the site to check out/possibly cancel my subscription, and have no way to access the site.
I haven't check the site in quite a few weeks as I've had some medical issues that have limited my online time significantly.
Is the site temporarily down or has the company closed down completely?

The quality of the video degrade,it starting to come low resolution from Basic AI Part 1,i like the HD quality on fundamentals tag,the author should zoom in into the code while discussing it.
