Unity stuck at splash screen

    I have windows 8.1 high spec PC, unity 4.5

    I started working on Unity last night and this morning (beginner first time simple project)

    However, while running unity this morning my PC bugged out (may or may be not related to unity)

    I restarted my computer and then when started unity again.

    However, this time Unity won't move past the splash screen (with the car scene)
    On task manager it is at 0% CPU and 12.3 MB ram consent

    I have waited 1 hour+ but the splash screen hasn't moved

    So I tried the following after following internet answers

    -Made an exception on Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
    -Reinstalling/Installing several times
    -Run in administrator mode
    -Run in compatibility mode
    -Deleted Unity files in ProgramData/ProgramFiles/AppData

    However, nothing worked
    Is there any fix for this?

    Try using the project wizard. Immediately after you start Unity press and hold the "Alt" key. This tells Unity to start up with the project wizard and not open the last project. Assuming the project wizard starts, create a new project and then exit Unity. Re-start without pressing Alt and the newly created empty project should open. This will tell you that Unity itself is okay, and might indicate that the project you were working on has become damaged.

    Held ALT for one minute straight and the noting happened :(
    I even deleted the place where I stored my projects
