Unity Standard Assets import (Character and Environment)

Hello,

Its been a while since I created a new project and used the standard assets from Unity.

I’m creating a new project in 2018.2.8 and I’m looking for the standard assets to import (character, environment and the others standard assets). In the past, you could right click and a menu would allow you to select the assets to import. Now with the new package manager, I don’t see those options. I've looked in the package manager and didn't see any packages for those assets. Am I missing something, or how can I get those assets now with Unity 2018?

Hi @John-Lisenby,

If you no longer have the standard assets .unitypackage on disk then you will need to download them again directly from the Asset Store. We no longer ship the standard assets in the 2018.2 installer, nor have they moved over to the new Package Manager system at this point in time.

Standard Assets haven't been supported since 2018.x. You can get it here but you may run into errors if trying to use them on a version 2018.x or higher.
