unity scripting for automation (like mel in Maya)

    Hello,

    is there a way to script in Unity in order to automate edition (like in Maya) ? (not scripting to program the behavior of the game created).

    For instance if I want to import some obj files, rename them, attach automatically some material depending on a naming convention, ...
