unity runs out of memory while "building additional assets"

    hi there

    I'm trying to build a scene in unity5 which before was building without problems.
    now suddenly I'm not able to build the scene anymore. unity runs out of memory
    while building additional assets, osx pauses unity and ask me to force quit it.

    what parts of the scene are being built during this "additional assets" or how can
    I avoid this error?

    sorry, for the doube post, I didn't find the initial post any more.
    maybe some more info: this is on osx yosemite, I have 12gb of
    ram and sufficient hard drive space.

    some textures are 4000x4000, but not too many (about 5 of them).
    my lightmap snapshot is almost 600mb. might this be a problem?

    does really nobody know what is happening here? I am kind of desperate to get this to work...

    Try an experiment: If you resize the large textures to 400x400, and try to make a build, does that work?

    there is definitely something wrong with the realtime GI. if I only build baked GI the build is successful. I'm certain I could build the precomputed GI before, so there must be a bug/memory leak as far as I can tell.

    Send in a bug report with your project, and the QA team can take a look. Post the bug number here and I'll let the QA team know.

    some more detail about this 'bug'. if I reduce the realtime resolution, building does work. At around 8 texels unity seems to have memory issues while building... as said before, the scene works flawless when played in the editor. only building doesn't work. this is really frustrating...

    Hi! The bug is fixed and the fix will appear in a 5.0.1 patch release soon.
