Unity removing files?

    Hey,

    I'm really new to Unity and I have no idea why would Unity remove files from repo upon launch. Could someone explain it to me?

    I realise that I'm probably asking some stupid question because I don't know how it all works...but no questions are stupid, right?

    The meta files are probably for files or directories that don't exist, so Unity cleans them up.

    So is that harmless? I just wondered if unity was removing some assets or something that weren't compatible with Linux?

    Yes. Removing meta files for files that don't exist is harmless.
