[Unity Project for Christmas] Re-Make

    Hello, new project im doing, X-Mas Project for now. But i ran into problem, BCE0005 Unkown identifier: 'flightsound'.

    It worked fine on the mannequin? (Who doesnt want little bit of horror for Christmas too?)




    Edit:

    I decided to remove that code and do it the other way, raycast checking if the monster is still there.

    It doesn't feel like a Christmas game yet but it looks interesting! Is that a TARDIS?

    Yeah, its not really christmas feel, i will do something about that. And yes, its a TARDIS.

    8 Days Remain, I managed to do something little today, because my brains are blank.

    Things I did:
    • Removed bug where monster could kill you while TARDIS is DeMaterializing.
    • I gave the monster a hat! For the Christmas feel.
    • I added the candy canes in Arrival
    • Removed Bugged/Broken Scene (Mannequin) And made new one.
    • Trees now have colliders
    • Changed water from refractive to reflective
    • Monster is little faster, but you can still get too far of his range
    • Simple Head Bobbing and Walk Sounds, I didnt add them to Arrival Scene yet.

    I was trying to add GUIMusic in Arrival, but it was so messy and had over 200 lines just for music. I'd like to have better music script.

    =How can I make that when I click Left Mouse Button, it fires a ball/sphere? Its instancing, making it go forward.. Dunno.=

    What would be cool name for the thing?

    I might release it, just for the fun. Of course Im gonna give it to 'K' Before anybody else.





    E: Could someone tell me, why the scenes wont work after I load them? Like in the end of the video, it just freezes.

    Hello again!
    So Unity 5 is here. And I already love it.
    When I tried to open the project in it do, so many errors came I won't want to fix it.

    Solution? Re-Make the thing.
    Did you know? I made the Christmas Project in a month, but did last 3 scenes in 2 days (I was lazy)
    But now I have much more time, I'm going to take good time doing this.

    And with Unity 5, no words needed.

    I require help with couple of things:

    I'm adding 'Code' button (Using new UI) to Main Menu, if you have special Password/Code, it will do something.

    I first tried making Array, list the codes and check if it matches.
    I made the array, but how can I make it accept more than just numbers, and check the InputField's Input with the Array list?

    What I want to do is create a OverlapSphere, that scales from volume caused by player, if the Monster is in hearing range, it goes and checks out.

    I want to add states for the Monster, like when its searching for player, chasing, idle and just spawned.

    How am i gonna do that?

    + Added Audio Reverb Zone in wooden house
    + Wind Zone and wind sound
    + Note's and pickup system
    + In-Game Menu
    + Ship Warp and Laser
    + More Image Effect's, you can never have too much. (Except when everything freaks out)
    + Little tweaks and bug fixes

    - Removed fog, which made the game even darker (I added little point light to player to help with close objects)

    ###The Story###

    Nothing fancy.. but its something.

    You are driving somewhere, you run out of gas (old and used idea... But how else you could get to a forest? Aliens?)

    You go look for shelter to stay for night. Find this old wooden house (with random still intact note)

    (There could be something else happening before this too, more notes, exploring the house...)

    Hide! (Under the table?) Creature comes inside the house, is there for a second and then goes outside again.

    You try to sneak past him, but still get spotted (I need line of sight, and audio detection for the monster.)

    The monster is supposed to run and try to catch you, if you run long enought, things happen.

    This is part I don't know yet, these are my ideas:

    1) Phone rings, still running away from monster. A man asks if you need help, warps in a ship, lasor, boom.

    2) The good old TARDIS

    3) Same as 1, but first ship jumps in, the monster gets tractor beamed (held in place by a beam), then laser, teleport to ship. stuff.

    Update 22.8.2015

    So, I've been learning AI stuff, also modelling a ship in free time (I don't want to use the free asset one, because I need interiors somehow.)

    School's and hobbies keeping me busy and away from the project, I'd like to finish it in this year at least.

    I might make the game more personal, meaning it would be only for her. But I want other people play the thing too, just to see what they think. Would Game Developing be my future career?

    Gotta get em' sleep. I don't want to participate in the next zombie movie.

    Update 29.10.2015

    Hello again, been doing more AI stuff, downloaded Visual Studio 2015 and changed all scripting to C#, since VS does not understand UnityScript.

    I am going to stop posting updates here, because nobody reads these.
    I wrote these just for fun, no real need. Also I found a way with interiors, I can use the asset store ship, and self modeled interior, should work.

    Its been a long since last update, I have worked on testing projects (Testing different things), for example, having a huge scale solar system that moves around you, because floating precisions. UNet space fighter thingy, just a simple 3D space fighter game that is multiplayer. Also some shader and image effect testing, for example using Bloom image effect and emission in shader to create glowing objects and particles (looks really nice).
