I am curious if the unity pro free trial allows me to publish to game consoles. I want to make and publish a nintendo switch game but I don't even have enough money to buy 1 month of unity pro. Unity FAQ and google are no help of course.

I need to know before I make a game for it and don't want to waste a free trial

No, and you can't use the trial version for commercial releases anyway.

You won't get the game made and published within the trial period anyway. Consider the app being in review for weeks, then rejected due to some stupid issue, then what? And what about some stupid bug is found a few days after release that angers most users and you want to, or have to, make a patch?

You will HAVE to subscribe Pro if you want to publish for Switch, whether you're legally bound or not.

If you can't afford Unity Pro you're probably not in a position to even be developing for console anyway.

Console development requires special permission, files, and hardware from the manufacturer of the console. Unity Pro on its own isn't enough. That's the most we can say about it as part of that special permission involves signing agreements that we don't talk about the process of becoming accepted, developing, or publishing for them.

Here are the links to reach out to the manufacturers to learn more:

In fact, here's a pretty important question: why not release on PC instead?
