    What am I missing here? Did I read it wrong...

    Unity

    100 CCU
    Your maximum monthly cost with 100% usage of allowed CCUs is $539.68 / Month

    500 CCU
    Your maximum monthly cost with 100% usage of allowed CCUs is $2698.39 / Month

    You must have a Unity Pro license or subscription to use the Live mode of the service.

    120 CCU - (Free + PUN+) for a single $95 payment for "life"

    500 CCU - $95 monthly

    Looks sort of similar once you realise photon's language is not the same as Unity's language.

    Photon: is $95 a month for 500 messages/second - but that is spread across all your users. The equivalent formula plugged into Unity's is around $119 at maximum, but can be lower if people use less. I could be mistaken, but that's how I read it.

    I'll wait and see how it all pans out, nice there's options though.

    I was wondering about that, they state it as 500 messages per second per room. Not as a global limit. Their global limit is 500 connections. But with that plan the 'room' limit is 500msg/s, so you might have trouble with a 20 player game, but not a 4 player game. A room in their system is one ongoing game.
