Unity Package Manager stuck in "resolving packages"

    I just upgraded to 2020..3.4f1 LTS form a 2019 build that was working no problem and I am creating a new project and it just stays there... It is the 3rd time that I've tried and it takes forever and doesn't even budge. I re- instaleed both the editor and the hub to no avail unitypackage manager.png . Help please.

    Does your task manager show any hardware usage to suggest it's doing something?
