Anyone know if Unity works(or works well) on a Microsoft Surface tablet? I'm thinking about buying a tablet, and I feel as if the surface will be the most likely to run it.

I run it on a Surface Pro 3 just fine. I have the highest i7 version so that might make a difference and it's not going to compete with a gaming pc or laptop but yes you can certainly run it.

Thanks for the response. I'm starting to switch from GameMaker to Unity, so I'm not really working on any intense 3D projects right now. Just wanted to make sure before I took the plunge. Thanks again.

Yeah especially if you're doing 2D stuff and nothing super intense then the Surface should work just fine. The real limiting factor is screen space for an effective layout to work with.

I tried both Unity and Photoshop together at the same time while I was checking out a colleague's i7 Surface Pro 4, and was quite impressed at how well they both performed.

I wouldn't go in expecting to make an AAA FPS game like Call of Duty or something, but the Surface is no slouch either.

Definitely plan on getting a larger monitor to supplement your display, though. Unity is a screen real estate hog (depending on how you have your layout set up).

Edit: Fixed typo. Surface 7 doesn't exist... yet! :p
