Unity occasionally hangs on very simple tasks.

    Am I the only one getting this?
    Every now and then unity start to hang as shown below for several painful minutes..
    Here I just created a scene from a template which was done like 15 seconds (according to the popup in the image below) and then hangs on that MouseUp operation for almost 6 minutes. :confused:

    Sometimes VERY simple tasks like Ctrl+S to save the scene or even duplicate an empty folder (!!) takes ~4 minutes. it doesn't happen all the time, most of the times everything is fast and smooth and I don't really see that popup at all.

    I'm currently on 2020.2.6 but this was present way before...

    Are you using anything from Asset Store/Package Manager?

    Start an new project (not just new scene). Write scripts from scratch that only checks for what think is causing the issue did happen then?

    What is your OS are using the editor in?

    You might have some other software that has some bindings to those actions, ie Screen Capture?

    Hard to intentionally reproduce this issue..
