Bug Unity not starting without administrator popup

    I dont want to run it as administrator but my user is administrator also the "run as standard user" option just re opens the same pop up

    anyone fix?

    Can you try the troubleshooting steps listed in https://forum.unity.com/threads/uni...ut-nothing-seems-to-be-causing-this.1438489/?
    1. Enable "Elevated" column in task manager details tab. See if Unity Hub is elevated. If it is, restart it;
    2. If that didn't help, inspect properties of Unity Hub.exe and Unity.exe and see if "Run as Administrator" checkbox is checked. Uncheck it if it is.
    3. Make sure explorer.exe is not running elevated too.

    That is generally a BAD (terrible) thing to do.

    Change your user account to be a user account. There is no reason whatsoever to work as an administrator under modern Windows versions. This just opens the door for all kinds of security issues, but as you experience here, also issues with apps.

    That's not entirely true. Most users are administrators on their machines. That doesn't mean everything runs as administrator, that's what User Account Control is for: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ion-control/user-account-control/how-it-works
