I'm trying to install Unity on my Mac Mini running MacOS 10.14.6.
I'm using Unity Hub 2.1.3 to try to install Unity, and it doesn't appear to matter which version of Unity.
    e.g. 2019.2.11f1 and 2019.1.14f1 both fail installing.
Whereas, I can install them on my Mac Powerbook running 10.13.6.
    Anyone else experiencing this problem?
    Thanks

Yes I am having exactly the same issue. MacBook Pro on 10.15.1 trying to install 2019.2.11f1.
It downloads right to the end of the progress bar and then vanishes. No messages or anything,

Thanks for confirming that this is a problem.
I'll try installing earlier versions to see if one of them installs.
But it would be ideal to be able to install the newest version.

Happened to me on windows, I disabled the option of installing visual studio and it worked, now I have a problem that I can't open projects on unity hub or unity at all, it shows the splash screen and shuts off

Installation issues could be caused by number of things, we would appreciate it if you could report this using the bug reporter in the hub and attach your logs so we could potentially investigate the cause of installation issues. Your logs are located in %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\UnityHub\logs in windows and ~/Library/Application Support/UnityHub/logs in mac. Thank you!

I think I narrowed down the issue.
When I go into the Unity Hub preferences, I noticed that the Unity Editors Folder defaults to blank.
When I explicitly set it to my Applications folder, the installation of Unity 2019.2.11f1 worked!
However, even though I checked Visual Studio for Mac, it doesn't look like it's installing.
For some reason, when I try to upload my info-log.json file, via your Upload of File mechanism, it shows as ghosted out.
I had to make a copy ending in .txt in order for it to be uploadable.
In the mean time I'll see if I can download and install Visual Studio for Mac from https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/
    Thanks
    Jeroen

Installing Microsoft Visual Studio separately worked. i.e. when I open a C# script in Unity, it now opens it in Visual Studio.
But it would be good to know why Unity Hub isn't downloading and installing MS VS.
    Thanks

Had very same problem with Unity Hub. It would go up to the end of the downloading bar and then disappear. I went into to preferences to switch the blank default to the /Applications folder and I'm hoping it will work from there. I'm also not quite ready to download Visual Studio to my mac, and hopefully I won't have to.

    Reviving this thread:
I tried all the above hints. Setting the Application folder, deselecting MS VS in the install options, choosing an older Unity version, trying the most recent LS-Version - nothing works. Download starts in the hub, the blue bar builds up until it reaches the right side, then the version to be installed disappears. No error message, nothing.
    Can anyone help?

If I try to install the Unity Editor from any of the dates it just goes through the first bar and then says that it failed.

I found a video on YouTube that explained that the Security and Privacy settings might be the issue. You can go to system preferences/ Security and Privacy/ Go to the privacy tab and scroll down to the Full Disk Access folder. Click the little padlock on the bottom left. You will need to enter an admin password at this point. Add Unity Hub to the list of apps by pressing the "+" button under the list of apps with full disk access. Search for Unity Hub in your Finder and select it to add it to the list.

This combined with setting a proper path for the download inside the setting for Unity Hub should stop it from just disappearing after the download completes.

Hope this helps. I spent ages trying to sort this out and now I have the latest version of Unity working on my MacBook air and I am using Visual Studio Code as opposed to Visual Studio.

i found a solution for Mac
    1) use AppCleaner & uninstall both Unity & Unity Hub
    2) remove folder ~/Library/Application Support/UnityHub/logs
    3) re-install Unity Hub (during installation or license activation, make sure it prompt you to input your Mac password, i guess that was the culprit for permission issue, i had this issue when i performed data migration from another Mac)

Make sure in your mac settings under "Users & Groups" you're set up as an admin user and not a standard user. You should then be able to install it.

If you can't get these permissions (parents, friend, partner); You will have to have the admin user on your account install it on their profile, this should also install it on yours too.

could you elaborate on that please? What do you mean by on their profile. Will the admin user have to go on there account on the Mac and install it there?
