When I create a Unity project and change the directional light from "No Shadows" to "Soft Shadows"/"Hard Shadows", the whole scene appears to be black.

    My Lighting Settings (1) (2)

When Direction light settings are set to "No Shadows" the scene looks like this.
However, I want all objects to cast shadows. Every object has a Mesh collider with "Cast Shadows" and "Receive Shadows" toggled ON.

    My System:

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor (3.90 GHz)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
    RAM: 32 GB
    OS: 64-Bit; x64-based Processor

If any further information required, please comment. I'l try answer everything within >1 hour.

Hi! When looking at your settings screenshot, you don't appear to have baked any lightmaps. And how is your scene set up? Is your light baked or realtime? Are your objects static or dynamic?
I made a few talks for beginners. This is more for 19.3:

Or watch this for older versions:
