    Hey, knowledgable Unity folks,

I have recently downloaded Unity 2017.4 onto my mac. Now, whenever I try to open MonoDevelop, I receive the error "You can't open the application 'MonoDevelop' because it may be damaged or incomplete."

I have tried restarting my computer and reinstalling Unity. After each Unity reinstall, MonoDevelop works fine for a short period of time, then resumes the above behavior.

Any advice or solutions would be appreciated. Thank you!

    I suspect a permission problem.
Here is what I did to fix it:
    1. Find MonoDevelop in /Application/Unity
    2. Rename it to whatever (add a _)
    3. Finder asks for password to rename it
    4. Rename it back to MonoDevelop
    MonoDevelop is now working correctly.
