Hi, I'm very new to Unity and was excited to learn. I've been following a tutorial and I barely started, but the editor keeps lagging and I have no idea why. I checked the task manager and it looks like Unity is using up so much memory!

It's very frustrating to try and learn like this :( any help will be appreciated!

Well, what hardware specs do you have?

Judging by your screenshot your computer only has 8GB or memory, which isn't much.

Unity's a pretty heavy weight program, so you need a reasonably specced PC to use it comfortably.

I think this is what you're asking, but I have a good computer. I restarted my computer yesterday and unity seemed to work after that. However, I can't seem to have more than unity opened or else it starts lagging!

Those specs look pretty reasonable to me. I'm assuming you have a decent GPU too?

Mind you how much memory an application uses doesn't have a big impact on its performance.
