I have a Windows 7 desktop PC connected to the internet through WiFi. I’ve been using it with Unity for months and never had a problem. One day everything was working just fine, the next day nothing had changed, but as soon as I launched the editor, I got the yellow exclamation sign next to the WiFi icon on the system tray and lost all internet access on the computer. It has stayed like that every time I launch the editor since then.
Running Windows’ Network Troubleshooter disconnects me from the network completely, and I am unable to connect at all.
After plugin and unplugging my WiFi dongle several times I am finally able to regain internet access for a few minutes, but after that it breaks again, even if I’m not touching the computer. Closing the editor instantly fixes the issue.
Other devices stay unaffected the entire time.
Yesterday I uninstalled 2018.3.1 and installed 2018.3.3 but the problem stayed the same. I made sure to give it access through Windows Firewall when it asked the first time I opened the new version.
I have also tried disabling my antivirus before opening the editor, with no luck.
I’m not using a proxy or VPN.

Happens to me too on the latest Unity build. Unity is unusable now, even after complete reinstall.

Did you ever find any progress on this?

This happens to me on the daily (multiple times) on OSX with the latest LTS and the only way I can restore my internet is to do a hard reboot (a soft reboot just hangs). Very annoying and disappointing!
