I have to do a house building reading a text-file with wall data and to animate people that moves, always reading text-file.

There are advantages over framework like jmonkeyengine?

    Thank you

I think you could do your project in Unity or JMonkey -- I have a buddy that did a small project in JMonkey his only complaints were lack of documentation and features that don't work as expected -- with the lack of documentation you can never be sure if its broken or if you are just wrong about what it is supposed to do.

With both being free I think your decision might come down more to which engine/language options you feel more familiar with ?

I've used both. Unity is pretty much superior to JMonkey in every way I found. Unless you are already intimately familiar with JMonkey I wouldn't recommend it.

If you do want to make a decision between engines, choose between UE4 and Unity.

I did tried both JMonkey Engine and Unity Engine,

Before unity was free I have used jMonkeyEngine and I recommended it to the people who is good in java, I mean it's perfect ,have an awesome IDE and it is what all java game devolopers .

When unity5 was released for free (please notice that I have used both jMonkeyEngine and Unity Engine at the same time) I found it really awesome and have more features than jMonkeyEngine, also I was more experienced in C# more than java so I decided to use unity5 for my next game.

So if you are a game devoloper and don't know what to choose (jMonkeyEngine or Unity):

you would ask yourself those questions first:

*What is the preferred language for me ? C# or java?

*What is the preffered graphics I would like to use? do you want it to be simple like minecraft or do you want it to be like the forest?

and I believe you would know the answer by yourself.

    Thank you all,
I write code in Java and in C#, no difference.
I am not interested in wonderfull IDE because all works is script-based.
But I want to learn something that in future will be supported, so Unity is better?

@leonardo.tazzani their IDE is not only a script based, you can do almost everything in it, you can create terrain, import objects and many more however Unity and jMonkeyEngine has a good future, especially jMonkeyEngine because it's the best Java game engine over there, but if you care more about graphics then you would choose Unity over jMonkeyEngine.
