So I also encountered this High Sierra disaster.
I'm using Unity 5.6.2f1, what I did: made a new HFS+ partition and moved my project and Unity to that partition.
However, what's bothering me is that, after doing this, all the default Arial font will not show up anymore. If I change the text font to some customize font that are located in the Assets folder, the texts are rendered correctly, but when I use Arial font, texts won't show on the screen. And this problem seems only happens in the Editor, when I built my app and tested it on iOS and Android devices, the Arial font worked perfectly. So I guess it may because the Unity in the HFS+ partition cannot find the Arial font that installed on my Mac?
I have googled a lot but whit no workaround found yet.
Can someone help me with this problem?

Did you find workaround? I faced the same issue.
