I just downloaded the official Big Sur release and now i'm not able to install new Editor Versions anymore. It seems to freeze in the last percentage. I left it for a few hours but it never finishes the install.

    Hub Version 2.4.2

    Mac OS version 11.0.1 (20B29)

EDIT: I figured the problem is on the Android SDK and NDK, i'll attach the log file from when the component started downloading.

Hi! Did you manage to find a solution to this?
I’m hesitating to switch to Big Sur, there are a lot of OS niceties and better integration with the rest of anything Apple, but Unity is at the root of a lot of sensitive work on my side... so, these things like not able to install can make lose a couple of precious hours.

Just a .002 cents in case it could help, on Catalina I already had installing issues, mostly because Unity HUB doesn’t ask permission to write to the /Applications/ folder (I use the root one, not the user’s one). What I do is I create the folder on my own, i.e. if I’m downloading Unity 2020.2.0f1 I’ll make sure to create a folder on /Applications/Unity/Hub/Editor 5.x/2020.2f1/ (or somewhere along those lines, can’t remember exactly where the editors go) and then the installer will be able to finish through.

Now, on your log files I see that the problem seems to be originating even before, as if it can’t even load the SDKs and NDKs of Android.

Our IT department has forbade us to install Big Sur because there's more than just Unity that fails.

Just a quick update on this.
I still can't install Android SDK and NDK via Unity Hub and couldn't figure out why. What i did was use the ones downloaded from previous Unity versions i installed using Catalina.
All other modules install just fine, so if you're having trouble be sure to uncheck the "Android SDK & NDK Tools" module under "Android Build Support" and download them from somewhere else like Android Studio.

Thanks! I was having the same issue and was able to install the version once I unchecked the Android Build Support box. I then went back and added it as a module.

I had the same problem of download/install stoping at 90%. I downloaded Hub 3.0.0-beta.2 (just accepted the suggestion to upgrade in the hub itself) and clicked on "Install Editor" under "Installs" in the new Hub and chose 2021.1.16f1. Checked that the Android support was unchecked. It was downloaded and installed without problems.
