I already have Unity 2020.1.3f1 installed through Unity Hub. But, my instructor is using Unity 2019.4.10f1 so I need to install that additionally. When I use the Add button and select the version and Mac, it appears to download, but once the download is complete, nothing shows up.

I then tried installing manually (https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download/archive), selecting the appropriate version. When the install was complete, the installation was declared successful.

Back in Unity Hub, a second install is showing up with the message "Installation failed" underneath it. I've tried deleting the file, but it says, "Could not Delete Files." In /Applications/Unity/, one instance of Unity shows up.

Maybe there's a naming conflict, I think, so I rename the existing one as OldUnity and attempt the install again. Same result.

If I try to open Unity directly, Unity Hub is then opened and nothing happens.

    Any insights?

I have the exact same issue, also with 2019.4.10f1. I can't remove the reference, even though the files were deleted off my computer, so I can't reinstall the editor, as it the hub still thinks I have a reference.

The Hub's not required so if you can live without its features, remove it and install Unity manually.

It works without Unity Hub being installed, but I get two errors in the console. upload_2020-9-21_14-5-43.png

Your installation appears to be corrupt. I would suggest a clean install. See here.
Modules are available from the downloads page here.

A clean install is a full uninstall of Unity before installing a fresh copy. The process to do so really depends on the type and state of your system. Basic instructions can be found at the bottom of this page here, however I would suggest going through your system manually before step 3 to ensure all traces are removed. To identify where to look, see the results here.

It didn't help, although I might not have deleted everything thoroughly enough. Still, I would like to be able to use Unity Hub, and installing through the Unity Hub* still doesn't work with a clean install.
