Thank you for posting the issue here. Could you send me (here or by direct message) your Hub logs as well? They can be found in this location on mac:

    ~/Library/Application support/UnityHub/logs

I see in the bug case that you are using 2017.3.1p4 is that correct?

I encountered this same problem today after a few random crashes (each about 1-1.5hrs apart). Happened in version 2017.4.of1 and couldn't save via File menu, but was able to right-click scene and select save from there.

Also "~/Library/Application support/UnityHub/logs" doesn't seem to exist on my machine o_O

That is correct. You now have the log file as a PM.

@GuardianofEden Are you on MacOS or Windows? Also which version of the Hub are you running?

I'm on MacOS High Sierra. I'm sorry I can't tell you the Hub version as I deleted it when I found out it only messes things up. But isn't the Hub version in the log file?

@PeterB I am investigating your logfile. I was asking GuardianofEden because his behaviour was a little different from yours.

    Hi all,

We found the culprit. We will try to get a fix pushed as soon as possible. In the meantime, Unity 2017.3.*p* and 2017.4.0f1 can't be used with the Hub unfortunately. Future versions of 2017.4 should have the fix.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this issue.

    Best,

Not all 2017.3.*p* are faulty. Unity 2017.3.1p1 is not affected by the problem.

@bunCBG that is correct. Sorry for the confusion. In any case, the next 2017.4 version will have the fix and is the suggested version for long term support.

Please let us know if there are any concerns with this decision.

    Cheers,

I can confirm that in my case 2017.4.2f1 did indeed fix the issue. Thanks, AbrahamDUnity!
