Unity Hub - Activation system unavailable

    Hello! I've had this issue for over a week where Unity Hub is complaining that the license activation system is offline. Not really sure what to do as there's not a lot of threads around the net with similar problems.

    Stuff I tried so far:

    0.1 Run as admin.
    1. Reinstalled completely, including deleting every folder related to Unity (I searched my computer with Everything)
    2. Made sure there's no "https_proxy" env-var.
    3. Removed all licensing files.
    4. Manual activation through Unity.exe - Note that normal unity works fine, but not Hub. When I did this Unity Hub wanted me to re-license, which then hung up on "Wait a moment" while validating.
    5. Tried logging in through multiple accounts.
    6. Made sure that the computer isn't behind a VPN.
    7. Using the "online help" link which ends up in a 404.

    I'm all out of ideas so I'm making this thread hoping someone has a fix that helps. Unless Unity is actually performing maintenance for well over a week (which I highly doubt).

    The problem is stated in the error message "The licence activation system is temporarily unavailable while we perform scheduled maintenance on our servers.".

    Well it's been like this for well over a week now. Looking at the Status Page there is no indication that they're performing any sort of maintenance. Plus I highly doubt that they would do maintenance for over a week.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Would you please report a bug with the hub bug reporter, and post the case number here. That way we can take a closer look into the logs

    From the logs, it looks like your username on your windows machine has `&` in it, and that may cause the issue.
    I am working on repro steps and will report the bug for the next release.

    That's weird, I don't have any '&' character in my username. Windows username is simply "myname.surname". Maybe Hub is interpreting '.' as '&'?

    Offline activation in Unity Hub Beta fixes this.

    Hello, can you please confirm if the online activation works as well ? Do you still experience the same issue with the licensing service ?

    I just downloaded unity hub 2 beta version and unity 2019.1.0f2 is working fine in unity hub 2 beta version
    I am very happy..............

    I created the license file. But


    But I cannot come into Unity already week!

    File make Unity_lic.ulf

    But there is an empty field in it ..... Maybe this is the reason?

    Hi, Which version of the hub are you using please? And what license activation are you executing (manual/pro..)?
