    Hi everyone,

Today we released Hub v2.4.4 along with the long-awaited Hub V3 through the Hub Beta channel.

V2.4.4 was shipped to correct mislabelling certain custom builds as LTS, introduced in 2.4.3. Also, to add better onboarding to the Beta channel feature and activate the new V3 experience.

V3 is a new beginning. We have spent the better part of the past year designing, getting feedback, and re-building Unity Hub from tech stack to design system. We have reimagined the fundamentals: working hard to improve the UX and accessibility so you can be more productive, and added new workflows and features -- that we hope you’ll love!

Big thanks to all for being part of this journey and for all the ongoing ideas, support and inspiration that fills our backlogs with even more exciting features to come!

Read more about Hub V3 and this Beta 1 release in our Release Notes.

Try V3 Beta out (if you don’t like it, you can easily switch back)! Leave us your thoughts here, or exchange ideas and feedback in this separate forum thread.

Looking forward to hearing how you find the re-imagined Unity Hub,

    Olivia

    About Hub V3

Hub 3.0 Beta 1 is the first release for the new Unity Hub. Built on new technologies, Hub V3.0 has a reimagined user experience and workflows that sets the stage for future features and improved accessibility.

Here's how to switch Hub Release Channel, so that you can get 3.0 Beta:

Once you have updated your Hub to 2.4.4, you will be able to switch between that and 3.0 Beta through the Release Channel feature.

To switch to V3, download Unity Hub then switch to Beta Channel:
    1. Click Settings (GEAR icon)
    2. Go to Advanced
    3. In the Release Channel drop-down, choose “Beta”
    4. Wait for background download. When it’s ready, you will see a message to Restart Hub to start using V3.
To switch back to V2, repeat the steps above, but choose “Production” instead.
