Unity Hub 18.1 not activating

    I activate a personal version (trying to build some new CI servers) and after I activate personal, it goes back to the activation screen and just stops. Happens on all 3 servers.

    Hi @Shinobi1507 ,
    Sorry for the experience. Have you try quitting the Hub (from tray menu) and reopen it?
    It seems some may encounter this issue after a Windows update and the Hub will not be able to access the license file.
    If the issue persist, I would like to kindly ask for your log to better understand the issue. Log can be found at: %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\UnityHub\logs

    I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, restarting the app from system tray and restarting the server itself.

    Hi @Shinobi1507 ,
    We have a fix for the issue suggested from your log.
    An action you may take as a workaround for the time being, would be using the Unity Editor directly to activate the license.
    We are sorry for the inconveniences.

    Sounds good, if I install 2018.2, then activate it, will I be able to use the Unity Hub? Or should I just wait for the next version? I'm building these servers to last a while so I don't want my installations to get too messy (that's why I wanted to have Unity Hub manage them).

    Also, for anyone else, I've been assured no PII exists in the logs so here are my logs if anyone is curious.

    For the Hub, I would suggest to wait for next version (likely within the coming week), although the fix is based on the log, as we are not able to reproduce the issue locally.
    You may also try to open the Hub after activating license using Editor. In normal case, it should work. If Hub prompt to activate license, simply quit Hub from the tray menu.

    No problem, I have 3 servers with the issue and I have no problem giving the unity team access to them. It is, after all, one of the beautiful parts of the cloud. Just let me know and I'll provide access.
