After realizing nothing else was going to happen, I sent a couple interrupts and got my terminal back
Not sure what is going on here, distro is Slackware 14.2, window manager is KDE 4, not sure why I'd have to specify a 'realPath' or how.

Are you sure you're not missing packages, dependencies?

All dependencies met. I just grabbed the version I wanted by editing the download link for the windows version in the download archive, installed like a charm and ran perfectly. No hub necessary. Until they can get their hub fixed I'll be bypassing it. This is the same problem that happens every time, I grab the unity hub, and I run it, all I see is a critical error, try to click bug report, the button does nothing, in fact all buttons do nothing except close unity hub, so that's what I click, but I have to send two interrupts for it to terminate after that. Funny thing is that as I'm doing this I have unity running and working on the other screen. I could just not care that hub isn't working but this is the officially sanctioned way of installing unity now, so I'd only be hurting others by not posting this

    Hi,

Unfortunately we don't support Slackware. It might run but we can't really troubleshoot your issue. Even going through your terminal feed it isn't clear what is going wrong.

    Sorry,

ah it seems to be unrelated. that feed was a one off. Normally it just has the line
Update for version 1.6.0 is not available (latest version: 1.6.0, downgrade is disallowed).
Do you have a complete list of dependencies that the hub uses? or is there a debug flag embedded somewhere? It seems silly to me to not allow distros that the editor itself is working on to not download the editor, where the link can be deciphered simply because you want to prefer everyone uses a hub, which seems to have some unknown issues. If I can get a comprehensive bug report out perhaps I can help this app image become more distro agnostic

Well we cover the same distros as the editor. I don't believe Unity officially supports Slackware. There's no evil intent in limiting support. We just can't validate the app works on every distro out there. You can attempt installing on an unsupported one but it's at your own risk.
