    Hey everyone,
    I'm developing a multiplayer game.

Unfortunately my upload speeds are around 1-2mb.
It is really slow for me, uploading a new server build takes a very long time ti'll its up and running on the VPS.

Is it possible to purchase a raspberry pi 4 and run Unity headless builds on it?
There is some old threads on the forums about the topic, but they are not about headless mode build.

If this is not possible, is there any alternatives recommendations to Raspberry that is capable on running Unity servers, I don't really want to spend more than 80$ on basic server.

You can technically run a Unity headless server on a raspberry pi by using android as an operating system. But I would recommend using a desktop pc running Linux or Windows instead. To run a headless server for testing purposes you just need a decent cpu. You might be able to find a used desktop which is a few years old for cheap.

Usually you can get quite far into development by just running your server on your local computer so maybe you don't need another machine.

Is it possible to run a Mirror server on Android?
I don't think I will anyway take the risk.

I do have an old pc with 4gb of ram (Enough for linux server & 1 Unity build isn't it?), I just need to buy a new PSU & a new fan. The problem is that I'm concerned about the power costs for the long term. Raspberry is a very low power consumption device.

I'm using my laptop to host my server instance when I'm developing my game anyway, but I'm looking for a 24/7 Server.

There are lots of mini PC's in the low $100 USD price range using low power usage Intel Atom processors, which can run headless Unity builds as either Windows or Linux. $80 is more difficult to find.

That depends on the requirements of your game actually.
