    Hi, because of new hardware I had to reinstall my windows 7 (64 bit) OS and now after I installed Unity 5.2.0f3, I can't properly start the software. After I log in and select the "Personal Edition" the screen gets stuck while "Updating License".

    Screenshot:

    I googled around a bit and tried an offlice activation, but then I get a 500 internal server error. Are the servers down or am I doing something wrong?
    Please, I need to finish this project for my class. The deadline is in 9 days. :(

    I am also getting "500 - Internal server error" when trying to contact the license server to apply a new license...
    Server side problem it seems. Any idea of when this will be fixed?

    Same issue here. Just downloaded unity for the first time and can't get past Updating license. I shut it down and tried again...it passed the license page but then got stuck on the survey page. I shut it down a second time...and I'm stuck on license update yet again.

    Uhm.... okay. Nevermind? It just started successfully.
    If you have server issues once in a while, dear Unity Team, it would be a great help if you could add an error message for this? Instead of freezing the program? Then I wouldn't have wasted so much time with trying to find out whats wrong and what I could do to fix it myself. Urgh!
    I'm sorry but I hate it when things I can't control keep me awake and won't let me finish my projects in time.

    I'm having this same issue after re-installing Win 10 and trying to install personal version of 5.3.1f1. Any fix? Do I have to just wait??

    Try deleting your license file located;

    Windows: C:programData/Unity

    Mac: Library/Application Support/Unity

    Then try again.
