Hello! I actually do not work with this map I'm showing in this video. I just showcase the assets pretty much I am using for my game Cursed Beliefs. I just try to get the best possible graphics to achieve in Unity Indie and show it to you guys also to give you all some inspiration and tips about what assets you should turn yourself to! :)

    Assets used in this project:
    Pro Flares (Sun flares)
FXLab (Image Effects for Unity Free)
Asia: Far East Environment (The house and trees)
Time of Day: Dynamic Sky Dome
Some of my own shaders and graphical settings as well

    Included stuff:
    High quality Sun Shafts
Smoothing the shadows out for Hard Shadows
    Sun flares for better quality
    Blur and Depth of Field
Smooth and small vignette for better look

Plaese let me know if you have any suggestions regarding what I can increase/decrease or even add!
I hope you guys check out my game Cursed Beliefs as well! :)

Even though I have 3D burnout from way too many 3D games I gotta say this looks impressive. I think you may have a great start on a tech demo for Unity3D. I like how "alive" it all looks with the wind blowing through the trees and such although the effect would be better if it was more subtle. It might be cool to start out calm with only a very gentle breeze. The wind force increases slightly and the sunny day darkens as storm clouds move in. Wind force increases more. Etc. But it is a great job so far.

I wown that plugin and this is really too slow, you loose more than half frame rate using it.
Best graphics possible dont mean you will be able to make a complete game with good frame rate.

If you're a great optimizer and can do some edits, you'll definitely understand that it means "you will be able to make a complete game with good frame rate".

Thank you very much for your kind support and comment :)
Yeah, I tried to add a little bit of wind, though I may have had it too much. Your idea for the project is totally fantastic and I'll definitely use something similar to that in my actual game that I'm currently Developing (Cursed Beliefs, link is in the topic as well). Thank you once again for your kind support :)

Best graphics possible using screen effects plugins in Unity Free is not compatible with good frame rate. Nevermind, you won't be able to do as good looking and as fast as Unity Pro.

As you guys might know as well, video does not show the 'full' graphics. I mean, it's still a bit pixelized etc. and therefore I 'll post some pictures soon, and may even make a tutorial series on how to increase your graphics for your game like this :)

I've been testing this on alot of different scenes. Small, huge, with low settings, with extreme settings (literally evferything on highest in the Project > Quality menu) etc. And so far, on a super-large terrain (3000x3000), with lots of trees and stuff, it works pretty well! I test this out on my main project Cursed Beliefs as well, and that game builds alot on particles and small details as it's about a snowy map, and it worked perfectly!

Everything builds upon optimization in my opinion. If you can optimize greatly enough, you will be able to get impressive results, both visually and frame rate-ish.

Unity Pro is using Post-Proccessing, which means that it actually does not use your CPU. It just uses the game's visuality, and therefore obviously, a smart-enough person will directly know that it won't be the same as Unity Pro, but close! If you read my thread once more, you'll realize that I never actually name that it will or it is as Unity Pro. If it was, there would not be a license for Untiy Pro.

Calm down, you demo is looking very good :)
I just wanted to warn people that you won't be able to go complex ( multi characters, particles, hud , houses , ai), this plugin is just too heavy cost or you must stay simple.

I would not say so "close" :) , or not a lot would buy Pro.

Sorry, I did not mean to be harsh, its just my way of typing and I was too tired :p I am sorry if I offended you in any kind of way!

Yes of course, it will obviously not be the same. But it is optimized, at least in my game so players of my game won't have any trouble with bad/good computers :)

If people wants no fps drop at all and still wants those kind of effects but even better, they would buy Pro :) but that's the point of this topic, I am just showcasing the graphics that I tried to achieve, which was point of being as close as possible to Unity Pro.

Have a look at my Global Illumination system for Unity Free - https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/21197

It is always better to have lights hit the ground around the big shadows (need a collider in trees), it will also add an HDR feeling. The new version can grab sky color if you use a textured dome.

Also will do great in houses were sun falls in etc, makes the lighting go a big step up. Point lights with GI are also amazing in caves etc
