Unity file cannot be read - 100px X 10000px dimension size

    Hi everyone!

    I want to make a high-quality ruler for microscopic images in Unity. So I made the ruler in Maya, and it looks fine. I exported it to Unity, and tried to extract the textures... and Unity tells me it cannot read the file. It is png, I have them in tiff and again, Unity cannot read them. All the files are about 180 kb (tiff is about 40 mb) - but they have the pixel size of 100px X 10.000px ( so it is 1.000.000px) - and in the Unity manual https://docs.unity3d.com/560/Documentation/Manual/ImportingTextures.html it claims 8k is all it will take... I wonder - can I somehow change that? Or is the problem somewhere else?

    Error in Consol claims:
    Could not create asset from Assets/Textures/Mm Start.tif: File could not be read
