Similar but, you need to apply to Sony direct to get on the program. The requirements are different too. They don't take one man bands for the full dev experience. Well to clarify you need to have an actual tax registered company (not too difficult as any limited company will suffice) but, you also need to create and submit a full game proposal and then wait for it to be reviewed. If successful, they also expect to see something from you if you want some dev kit.

Yep I'm going for the OTHER way in i.e. create an indie game for PSM and have them ask for a conversion to PS4 if it does well. That way you don't need to go through all the faf of some nameless (and likely soulless) person coldly reviewing your game proposals.

I am wondering what the heck has happened to Microsoft in all this though. They had id@xbox that seems to have disappeared and it was supposed to have a version of unity that was generally available for the standard XBox Ones. Seems to have gone less than quiet on that front.

Hmm passing games onto someone/company with ps4 licences may be a good idea, i'm not too keen on sharing or passing my games around but it may be the only way for now.
All this business malarky takes some of the fun away :/

o_O No don't do it or if you absolutely must then ensure you do three things

    1. Retain all IP rights.
    2. Take either a lump sum or percentage for the sales.
    3. Maintain creative control i.e. any changes or alterations to your property must be passed by you.

I know it all sounds like some weird dictatorship but, without setting those ground rules, someone can usurp your IP and cut you out of the loop.
