So, exactly as the title says, Unity Editor is the only application that refuses to start using my nVidia geForce 540M, while all other applications if set up from the nvidia control panel, do so.
This happened after I clean installed Windows 10 Anniversary Edition on my laptop, the latest nVidia and intel drivers (for the integrated intel hd3000) and Unity 5.4

Please help as this is extremely frustrating and makes the program unusable when workingn on 3d games, and I feel like the only thing I haven't tried yet is manually hacking the drivers :S

    Laptop specs:
    Asus n53sv
    Intel i7
    integrated gpu: intel hd3000
    dedicated: nVidia geforce 540M

Did you try going into the Nvidia Control Panel and making sure that your default settings have the Nvidia GPU set as the default? Then you can go into the Program settings and manually change the dedicated GPU for Unity.exe

I used unity on my Asus N53SN laptop and my custom PC build and it always automatically used my Nvidia. Also I'm using Windows 10 on the Anniversary update so I'm pretty positive it isn't Windows's problem.
