I have just bought a Macbook Pro Retina 13inch 2015 and upgraded to Macos 10.12.2. After I installed Unity 5.6, and pull my project from SVN, then open it, Unity Editor keep freezing whenever I press play button on the game scene. I have to wait for almost 10 minutes for it to play. But only after a few seconds it freeze again. One more thing is, if I open main menu scene, press play, it plays almost immediately, and I can enter main game scene to play fine. I've tried several times but the results are the same.

I've tried installing windows 10 using bootcamp, and install unity 5.6 on it. A strange thing happens, unity on Windows run directly from game scene just fine. I'm new to macbook/macos, I don't know if this is a unity bug, or I've done something wrong in our project.

Is there anyone face the same problem, or it is just me ? I've tried installing Yosemite but the problem is even worse, instead of freezes, unity constantly crashes.

Probably memory related. I get these freezes when Unity get's memory crazy. I use a free app from the Mac app store to check memory, and release some when possible ("Memory Cleaner").

Nice work on solving your problem.

As for helping yourselves because the 'forum is dead', you had two very reasonable suggestions (that you didn't acknowledge) to help work through the issue for something that you ended up causing yourself. You can't blame forum users for not being able to solve that immediately.
