Bug Unity Editor 2019.3.2f1 is trying to open script files in vim. I do not even have vim installed.

I am following basic roll ball tutorial and reached point of adding a script.

For some reason, doubleclicking script file (or using right click + open) is spawning a console that is trying to use vim to open it.

It makes no sense as I have text files associated with other program (VSCodium).

As workaround I open files using normal file browser.

 

Did you install Visual Studio Code so that you can create and edit scripts in Unity projects? Did you select the scripting editor in Preferences/External Tools?

I am using VSCodium (Visual Studio Code without unwanted parts - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_Studio_Code#Data_collection )

Edit/Preferences/External Tools is set to "open by file extension" what is ignored.

Manual override to /usr/bin/codium worked as workaround
