Unity don't work through VPN

Hello, friends!
We have a situation here, in Russia, with internet access. One of possible way to settle the problem is usage of VPN. While I’m not professional in matter, the choice is like a guess. Most of sites work after setup.
While Unity still sends message ‘No network connection’.
Reinstalled Unity, that didn’t help.

Any idea how to settle? Please share if you have. May be some particular VPN or smth like that.

Hey, I'm also in Russia and facing a similar problem. I use NordVPN and they just emailed me this.

"In order to use Unity while having VPN active, you would need to set up an OpenVPN GUI instead of the standard NordVPN application.

To do so, please follow one of these guides:

I already switched from using Collaborate to Github, so I have no reason to use VPN anymore, so I didn't test this to see if it fixed it.

I confirm, Unity works through OpenVPN with NordVPN Service

 

Doesn't work for me. Unity 2017.3 + OpenVPN with NordVPN configs = "No network connection, work offline" in unity.

 

May be need update Unity to 2018?

 

Hello. What VPN are you using? Did you try calling them or contacting their support? The guys above had success with Nord. I had a similar issue and subsequent success with Ivacy but I had to go to their home, https://Ivacy.com, talk to their chat team and open up a ticket. It took a few hours and while it felt like an eternity, they did help me with OpenVPN.

 

Hmm, thats strange. I use Surfshark at the moment, so there is no problem at all
